Long gone are the days when you absolutely had to follow strict wedding etiquette, regardless of whether you were planning your wedding in South Carolina or anywhere else.
These days, most of the rules are made to be broken. There are still some etiquette rules that have to be followed – not so much because you’d be frowned upon by society if you didn’t, but because these rules are there to help you make sure everyone feels great.
When it comes to your bridesmaids, though, most of the rules can be broken. The number of bridesmaids, and whether or not it pairs with that of the groomsmen, the bouquets that can be replaced with anything else, their attributions during the wedding, and even their marital status and gender – these are all things that are completely up to you.

Tuxedoes. Why not dress your bridesmaids in tuxedoes? They will look sexy, beautiful, and confident – the power-women they are, wearing the power-attires they deserve. If you want to, you can always settle on the classic black and white tux, but you can also settle on a more masculine suit in brighter or more pastel colors. Both of these options would be amazing!
Two-piece with pants. No, we’re not thinking of the classic pantsuit (although that could work as well). Think of a luxurious two-piece made from a lush fabric, such as velvet, consisting of a crop top and a pair of high-waisted pants. So classy, so stylish, so unique!
Sparkly separates. Want to make your bridesmaids feel like the glamorous divas they are? Dress them in glittery separates (a simple top and a pair of pants, both glittery if you want to go all the way, or just one of them glittery if you want something a bit more balanced). They will LOVE this outfit – not to mention that they’ll be able to pull any of the pieces and wear them on different occasions too!
