So, you have finally searched the market and you have a few handful of wedding vendors to select from. How do you conduct the vendor contract negotiation, though – and most importantly, how do you do this in a way that doesn’t offend the vendors, and still gets you the most for your money?
We have some tips you absolutely need to remember when negotiating your vendor contracts. Read on and find out more.

Be polite and nice, from the beginning to the very end, regardless of the results. Wedding specialists are very nice people – they’re in this business because they genuinely enjoy helping couples. Just because someone doesn’t suit your M.O. or your budget, it doesn’t mean you have to be rude with them. Be nice and you will be able to really move the mountains!
Gather all the info you need. Don’t leave home without knowing what type of services you need to hire a vendor for. Also (and probably more importantly), be sure you know the market price. This way, you will be ready to offer not less (and not more) than what other similar wedding specialists are getting for their services.
Keep your mind open. Some vendors may not be able to drop the price, but they might be able to chip in with a few “extras” if you ask them. Also, remember that it’s never a good idea to tell a vendor they’re your last option – this will give them the upper hand, and thus, it will make your negotiation less easy.
